The iAndover (1:1) Program Kicks Off at Doherty

The first phase of Andover's "Bring Your Own Device" (1:1) program kicked off at Doherty Middle
School late Tuesday(Jan 20th) afternoon. As part of the 8th grade 1:1 Learning Initiative, three Andover 8th grade classrooms will be piloting the iAndover program this year beginning in February.

On Tuesday afternoon, Doherty 8th graders participating in this "kickoff" initiative were asked to bring in a laptop of their own to be configured for use on the new iAndover school network or they were set up with a specially configured school laptop for use during their time in the program.

Andover has created this program in order to help provide increased access to technology as an initial step in transforming classroom learning, as well as providing a more personalized and student centric approach to education. The technology will be used to enhance personal productivity, collaboration, and access to instructional resources.
