High Plain Student Dive into Coding...

High Plain Elementary students, in Grades 3-5, participated in Code.org’s “Hour of Code” this week. Students were eager, inquisitive and problem solvers as they navigated their way around courses in Star Wars, Minecraft and Frozen.

The excitement and enthusiasm was in each and every classroom!  Username & passwords will be distributed in the coming weeks so students may continue with their coding and make progress.  HPE also has a Scratch program (available through the after school Learning Leaps program), that many have joined or planned to join.  There will be a continuum of online activities as well as some “unplugged activities” for students to complete within their classroom.

HPE’s Grades K-2 will be completing their “Hour of Code” next week.
